Some products are available as free downloads. They are highlighted
in green.
Yes, the stuff that costs money may be better in some ways, but
often the free products and information are as good and often better!
...So if some of the free products are as good or
better than the pricey stuff, why are they free?
Good question. Here's why:
Because in the world of internet marketing, 99% of products are
digital. The initial costs of developing a digital product may be big,
but more often it's not---unless the product is a highly-developed
piece of software. But even if the costs of developing a digital
product are high, the costs of producing and distributing the
product are darn near ZILCH...
...a million copies cost the same as one copy; digital downloads
eliminate all the "brick and mortar" costs like shipping, mailing, office
costs, the costs of employees, a building, etc. It's a great system,
actually, and why you stand to make so much money with your new
career path...
...but I digress, so onward...
Every product---physical ones included---have a "life cycle" in which
sales peak and then decline. Digital products, however, speed
through this life cycle much faster than physical products due to
the warp speed they can be bought and distributed. So as demand
goes down, so does the price tag....
...and the price tag on a digital product can take a huge nose-dive
and still be profitable. A $197 digital product will still be profitable
at a sale price of $9.95.* (Assuming the development costs have
already been recovered.)
| * But by this time, this same product is already being offered as a free "bonus" as part of a package deal to help sell a new software or e-book. |
Eventually, this product will be offered free in exchange for a name
and email address. Which is a win-win situation for everyone: The
customer gets something truly of value Free, and the marketer gets
permission to send offers for things that cost money. Hopefully,
the marketer will only send offers that have real value, and the
customer will willingly buy. Win-win...
So that's how a truly quality digital product can be gotten for free.
The only catch is that sometimes the free product is so completely
outdated that it is of no usefulness anymore. But any seasoned
marketer should easily spot these, and hopefully won't offer them at
all---free or not.
I only bought stuff because I am basically lazy and figured that if
something could save me time or energy then it's nearly always a
worthwhile trade for my money...BUT....
...that philosophy has cost me lots of wasted money and time!
During this process, however, I was able to identify what works and
what doesn't---hence the creation of HonestySellsBest.com.
