Intro:
Good Keywords is a totally free keyword research program.  The paid
version is called Good Keywords Gold and adds more functionality
(there's that word again!) to the already good Good Keywords :)

Price: FREE

Cons:
None--how could there be--it's free!

Pros:
Not only is it free, but the free version does not annoy you with
ads.

Just by reading the button labels on the screenshot below gives you
a taste of its features (I was tempted to use the word,
"functionality" but luckily "features" popped in my head ;)

You can't go wrong having this tool in your keyword research
toolbox.  I'm going to 'fess up right here and tell you I haven't
used it enough to give you a proper review.  However, I have
used it enough to confidently recommend it---even as a one and only
keyword research tool. 

It's one of those programs that has just a slight learning curve--
not because it's complex in any way--but because it has so many
cool features that you just need to use it and explore it's
capabilities over a period of time. 

As a matter of fact, some people do use Good Keywords for all of
their keyword research.

Personally:
I downloaded Good Keywords long ago and I've used it here and
there.  But I found that the 'all on one screen' view of Ad Word
Analyzer is easier to use as a 'preliminary project research tool.'
But, hey, it's probably the best free software of its kind on the
internet, so why not get it?  It's a very small download, too--
about a half a gig.
