Link-Assistant 2.5 Review
(Link-Assistant.Com)
Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5

Intro: Link-Assistant 2.5 is a new reciprocal link exchange software designed to do the same things that SEO Elite does, but better.
Price: $147
Cons: Link-Assistant is still new, and as such, is in need of some tweaking and updating. So it's unproven to the masses.
Pros: It's only $99.95 (limited time) compared to SEO Elite at $167. And in some very important areas, it's got more and better features than SEO Elite. But here's the best part: You can test drive it for 15-days, and your trial is a fully-working version---not a limited-use version. This is awesome, and something SEO Elite does not offer.
To me, this says a lot about how confident they are about their product. "Try our fully-functional software free and you'll be convinced to buy it over SEO Elite (and others like Arelis, LinkCheck Pro, SEO Studio, etc.").
Up 'til now, SEO Elite has been the standard by which all other reciprocal link exchange softwares have aspired to. Maybe Link- Assistant will be SEO Elite's equal or will top it. If it does, the obvious choice would be Link-Assistant--due to its cheaper price if for no other reason. But there are other reasons to buy Link-Assistant instead of SEO Elite:
 |
Send and receive emails to potential link partners all from one interface; no need to close out of your link program and open your email program. |
 |
You can categorize your emails according to the type of sites the links are from; the industry type, etc. |
 |
A built-in HTML editor allows you to customize your links pages to match the look and feel of your site. |
 |
A built-in browser allows you to go straight to a potential link partner's site to check it out before you link to him. This is great for easily maintaining only quality linking partners. |
 |
Easily change the status of each link at any time while viewing the current status of your links live. |
 |
Update the status or change the categories of many links at once, instead of having to to each one individually. |
Personally: I haven't bought Link-Assistant (yet) only because I'd already bought SEO Elite long ago. I did, however, use the fully-working trial version and have to say that it does all of the things as advertised in the comparison table posted on the Link-Assistant.com website. (The table compares Link-Assistant to SEO Elite 3.2 feature-for-feature and other popular reciprocal link exchange softwares as well.)
I should point out that SEO Elite v. 4.0 is out now, so maybe the playing field has been leveled.
I'm going out on a limb here and recommending that if you haven't already bought SEO Elite, you should seriously consider buying Link-Assistant instead.
I say, "going out on a limb" because I realize that Link-Assistant is still new as compared to the tried-and-true SEO Elite. So I'm just the teeniest bit hesitant only because the company is new--not so much because the software itself is new.
That being said, the software at this point is awesome and (according to Link-Assistant.com) will be faithfully updated as fast as they can.
If you haven't already bought SEO Elite, I would go to C/net's Download.com and see if any reviews have been posted yet. Also, go to the Link-Assistant.com forum right from their site.*
|
* When scouring forums for info on any product, always pay particular attention to how fast problems or questions are answered by the admin. (By checking the date of the posts.) If the response time is 2 days or less--and the product has been out for 6 months or more--that's generally a good sign that the company is going to stick around and support the product. If you get home Monday evening from a regular job, for instance, and submit a question to the forum admin, you should expect an answer no later than Wednesday, preferably on Tuesday. |
So if both softwares remain the same, for my dollar, I would get Link- Assistant instead of SEO Elite.
At least download the Link-Assistant free 15-day trial--you can't beat that!
Here's the link to the Link-Assistant main site for more info. (It may be the same page as the free 15-day trial.)

Cool-looking Link-Assistant 2.5 graphic, isn't it!
