OrwellPro Review (Jason Potash, Marc Quarles, Jason Katzenback)
Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Intro: Orwell Pro is a content-fetching software that is second-to-none in its versatility and ease of use. Just like Marlon Sanders' "Web Design Dashboard" (see the review), OrwellPro is the only software of its type & quality out there. And just like the Web Design Dashboard review, I can't help but say great things about it right from the start--right here in the "Intro" section.
Price: $127
Cons: I'm trying to think of some. Because it's designed so well and the fact that there's no other software with the same design, it's hard to come up with improvements.
Here's how OrwellPro works:
The above image is what's at the top of your monitor when Orwell Pro is running. Clicking the "Article Sites" star icon brings up a drop-down box (shown below left) of six of the most popular article sites.
Clicking on one of them takes you directly to that site.
Alternatively, you can just click the , which will cause a search box to open with the "Fetch!" button (below right)...

Turns out the search feature is really awesome because you just put in whatever keyword you're trying to get an article for, and voila! You instantly have articles related to your website theme to choose from!
So when you select an article, the boxes in the image below will be automatically filled with the corresponding info, i.e. the article's Title, Author, Body, and Resource Box.
Slowly scroll down while taking a close look at the parts of the image below...

Whatever items you want placed on your website's page, you just click any or all of the buttons below--which correspond to the above boxes in the blue pane. (The "Article-Replace" and "Article Append" buttons go with the "Body" text box; to replace the article--if any--in the Body block or "Append"--add to it.) This row of 5 buttons will be located along the bottom of your monitor.
Orwell automatically calculates the keyword density of whatever keyword you enter...
But check out this next awesome feature:
See the "Saturation?" button in the blue pane above (just before the 7 vertically-stacked icons)? Clicking this will tell you exactly how many times the article is found in Google, Yahoo, and MSN. So you'll instantly know if the article is worth keeping!
The last steps are to click one of the 7 icons you see lined up vertically on the lower portion of the blue pane above. From there it's pretty much self-explanatory.
Notice the "Export to XSitePro" icon--third from the top. This is a really neat feature of Orwell Pro that makes it easy to integrate articles into XSitePro (if you're lucky enough to own it).
Personally: This is one of those 'gotta-have' things. OrwellPro makes it so easy to find relevant content that you need if you want to have a "flyin' duck's chance" at getting your site ranked by the search engines.
And the great news is they have a FREE version that has good features, too. Get it here: Free Orwell Software
Or, you can opt for the full blown "PRO" version (click the image below).
