Article Writing Secrets

Owning, running and maintaining an internet based business or website involves writing articles (or having articles written for you--more on this later).  While this is no secret to those of us "in the biz," it nevertheless remains THE most challenging and time-consuming part of our business. Why?

Because you just can't put garbage up that masquerades as informative or entertaining articles and expect visitors to beat a path to your website.  But that's exactly what countless thousands (according to Google) do and continue to do in a desperate but futile effort to attract paying customers to their sites.

It just takes time and effort to collect, sort, and digest enough information on a given subject to be able to write sensibly about it--as if you're the "expert."  Yes, it takes time and effort to post good, ORIGINAL articles to a website on a regular basis.

But this presents an interesting and lucrative opportunity for you and anybody else who is not lazy...

Due to the fact that we humans are basically lazy (especially when it comes to mental work--which is why the decision-makers in the offices will always make far more money than the dudes moving boxes around in shipping and receiving, for example), the opportunity for you to make good money online has never been better.

The formula is simple:
Create a quick website (using easy-to-use web design software available online) on a subject that gets lots of searches on the internet.  Monetize the website with affiliate links, Adsense, etc.  Then regularly post fresh, relevant articles on your site and to article directories (with good anchor text as your "backlinks") and wait for the money to start coming in.

Everything in the above paragraph is, for the most part, common knowledge.  However, when it comes to posting the articles, people will try all sorts of article-scraping software that goes out and grabs articles from the internet and posts it to their sites.  This simply does not work because it's old news.  Besides, Google does not reward you for this.  You may not get punished by Google for this, but you'll receive no help.  And, believe me, you definitely want Google on your side in this business!

So here are your options, with some advantages and disadvantages of each:

1.  Write good articles yourself.
Advantages:  Article content will be guaranteed 100% unique; no need to worry about "duplicate content."
Disadvantages:  Very time consuming, even if you enjoy writing.

2.  Get public domain articles.
Advantages:  Content is totally free.  Producing content is much faster than writing yourself.
Disadvantages:  Your competitors have access to the exact same articles.  Also, the info tends to be "dated."  (Nevertheless, depending on the article, you can sometimes completely rewrite them, but this removes the advantages of using public domain content to begin with.)

3.  Get articles written for you.
Advantages:  You name the subject and describe what you want, and your hired article writer custom writes your article.  Faster than writing yourself.
Disadvantages:  Can become costly over time at the low cost of $5 per article.

4.  Subscribe to a PLR (Private Label Rights) Article membership.
Advantages:  Cheapest method other than writing articles yourself.  (Get up to 440 fresh articles each month for around $97, which comes to 22 cents per article.)
Disadvantages:  You share these same articles with up to 350 other folks, so you have to edit them a little before using them, in order to make them unique.

Recommendation:
For me, the tried and true method is #4, because I found a service
that provides over 400 articles a month to only 200 people per
article pack--this drastically reduces the chances that that same
person will use the same article(s) that you chose that month.  This
service is called PLR Pro and it's the best PLR Article membership out
there...

So even if I don't edit the articles, I'm not too worried (but usually I change at least the title and maybe the opening sentence and closing sentence).

Do I also write my own articles?  Of course, but it's just too time-consuming to write each and every one for all my sites.  But finding a way to not have to write my own articles takes advantage of an important business model:  LEVERAGE.

Leverage your time!  It's the one thing we are all limited by, no matter how much or how little money we have!  -C. Brown
